Human in Control · AI training for teams

Put AI to work across your team — with people in control.

A private, live program for 8–14 people from your company. Each person ships one workflow from their own job. They direct the AI, check its work and measure what it saves, inside data rules your IT lead has signed off.

Human in the loop means approving what AI did. Human in control means deciding what it does.

Private cohort · 8–14 people · 52 live hours over 14 weeks · from $27K CAD
Where most teams are

You bought the tools. The results are uneven.

Most teams have AI licences. A few people use them well, the rest tried once, and nobody can say what it saves or what it costs.

01

Seats, not usage

You're paying for licences. A handful of people use them well; most tried once and went back to doing it by hand.

02

Wins that don't spread

One person built something clever. Nobody else can run it, and nobody knows what it saves.

03

A bill nobody can explain

Usage costs go up and you can't tie them to work, people or results.

04

No written rules yet

Your IT lead, a customer's security questionnaire or the board will ask what data goes into these tools. Right now there's no written answer.

The outcome

What your team leaves with

Each person ships one working workflow, and the team gets the rules and reporting to keep them running.

  • One working workflow per person, running on your own systems and accounts
  • A team report: every workflow's before-and-after in minutes, errors and cost, ready for leadership
  • A written AI operating standard: what gets automated, what gets checked, what gets disclosed
  • A cost model, with usage tied to the work it does
  • 8–14 people who can teach the next group
  • 90 days of office hours after the program ends
  • A Larkwin Certificate of Completion in Applied AI Operations for each participant. It's a provider credential, not an industry one.
How the program runs

Fourteen weeks, scheduled around your calendar

Taught live online from Ontario, to the whole cohort together, on a schedule we set with you in Week 0.

Live teaching · weeks 1–14
  1. Week 0 · Setup
  2. Lab · Scope
  3. Lab · First working version
  4. Week 7 · Midpoint readout
  5. Lab · Harden
  6. Lab · Showcase
  7. Week 14 · Final readout
  1. Week 0

    Setup

90 minutes with your sponsor and IT lead. Agree which tools and data are in bounds. Each participant brings two or three candidate tasks.

  2. Weeks 1–14

    Teaching

Twenty two-hour modules and four three-hour labs, live online, whole cohort. Each module is 90 minutes of teaching, then 30 minutes applying it to the participant's own task. Labs: Scope (week 3), First working version (week 6), Harden (week 10), Showcase (week 14).

  3. Week 7

    Midpoint readout

To the sponsor: every workflow's first version and early numbers.

  4. Week 14

    Showcase and final readout

The team report and operating standard.

About four live hours a week per person, plus two or three on their own build. Optional office hours every two weeks.

Curriculum

Five blocks. One build that runs through all of it.

Human in Control is built on the Applied AI Operations curriculum. Each module is two hours: ninety minutes of teaching, then thirty applying it to your own task.

  1. Foundations

Why agents behave the way they do, and how to get the same result twice.

    10 hours

  2. Cost and control

Predict the bill before you run the job, and keep the agent inside the lines.

    8 hours

  3. Applied workflows

Five patterns that cover most knowledge work. You go deep on the one closest to your job.

    10 hours

  4. Trust and governance

What may leave the building, who can touch what, and the record that survives scrutiny.

    6 hours

  5. Making it stick

Measure honestly, recover cleanly, and write the rules you'll actually follow.

Instructors

Who teaches it

Two instructors. One knows the machinery, the other knows how work actually gets organised. You work directly with both: no teaching assistants, no hand-offs.

Questions

What teams ask before they start

How much of people's time does it take?

About four live hours a week for 14 weeks, plus two or three on their own build. We set the schedule around your calendar in Week 0. Sessions are recorded for reference, but the program is built around turning up.

Is our data safe?

Week 0 sets the rules with your IT lead before anyone touches real work: which tools are approved, and which data can go into them. We work inside your accounts and only in tools you've approved. Block 4 covers data classification, access and record-keeping in depth.

Which AI tools do you teach?

Yours. The program is vendor-neutral: we teach how these systems work and how to run them, so the method carries over when the tools change. We don't resell any platform.

Our people range from non-technical to engineers. Does that work?

Yes. People need to be comfortable with the tools they use every day and willing to read an error message instead of closing it. One module covers software delivery: non-engineers can follow it, and engineers can take it further.

What does leadership see, and when?

A readout at the midpoint (week 7) and at the end (week 14), plus the team report: every workflow's before-and-after in minutes, errors and cost.

What if someone leaves or falls behind?

Seats can transfer to a colleague. Sessions are recorded, office hours help people catch up, and the sponsor sees progress at the midpoint.

How is it invoiced?

A 25% deposit locks in the start date. The balance is paid in equal monthly instalments, invoiced at the start of each month, so the program is fully paid by its final month. Prices are in CAD, plus HST.

Can we start smaller?

Yes. The scoping call is free. The scoping session is $1K for about four hours of work and is credited in full against the program if you go ahead.

Can a training grant pay for it?

Some employer training grants may apply. We'll tell you plainly whether yours might, and we won't promise it.
